End of February

Well, Nate is 12 weeks old today, it's hard to believe how quickly he is growing. There are lots of smiles, and the laughs have started.  This weekend we had a big event when we got to go to our first hockey game. The Giants were playing the Kelowna Rockets, and Nate slept through all of the noise! Nate was so happy that Aunt Megan, Uncle J. and Harper came home from their long trip too! (his Mom and Dad were pretty happy too!)

here are some updated photos. Nate is now at the point of doing a lot of smiling, little laughs and is giving mom and dad lots of sleep with 8 or 9 hour sleeps. Nate went to see "Slumdog Millionaire" with mom and grandma too! It's been a fun and busy month. Dad has been taking a few photos too.

Nate's First Christmas

Well the young man had a splendid first Christmas! He got to see many family members, but the snowstorm of the decade caused all sorts of problems. Christmas day was spent at home in Burnaby and then Nate spent a week on the wonderful shores of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. Dad is back to work now and missing his days with Nate...

Well Nathan arrived in Vancouver just in time for a record setting winter! We have been stuck in the house for three days with record temperatures, amounts of snow and the first cross country white Christmas in many, many years (I heard 30 and 50 years, depending on the source)  Nate's days have been filled with new adventures! because of the weather he has missed the visits from family and friends but has been falling into a very nice routine of long sleeps to help mom out a bit.  Nate has developed a fondness for bathtime and especially loves the head cleaning. The bath isn't so bad now that dad has figured out a good temperature for the little guy!  The first video chat was had online with Great Auntie M on the Island who is also stranded on her little hill in Union Bay. Nate enjoyed his first Robbie Burns dinner and is greatly anticipating his first Christmas with family.  Nate got to meet mom and dad's good friends Dave and Karen Heskin this week!!! what fun!

The cold weather is keeping us inside. Nate got to see snow for the first time, well, I suppose it just seemed brighter than normal. We have had some very nice visits as well. Everything is going great as we get closer to Christmas! Sarah wanted me to write that Nate's Cord finally fell off today! a big event for sure!
